01 / From assignment to debrief
A handler may complete several searches during one mission. TrueSAR distinguishes the K9, handler, discipline and numbered search so those efforts can be reviewed individually.
Before deployment
K9 assets have handler relationships and discipline information. Include the handler and K9 in mission assignments so command staff can see which team has been tasked and what type of search it is conducting.
During the search
Use Search Start and Search End to identify each search effort. Search Activity / SAL captures events and updates, while POIs and relevant field observations document what the team encountered. Accountability and PAR support checks on deployed personnel and resources.
After the response
Mission-linked Deployment Reports keep the search associated with the response that produced it. Handlers can use those details when completing their deployment documentation and reviewing the K9's history.
02 / K9 disciplines
TrueSAR supports five K9 disciplines. Discipline-specific entries help handlers document the kind of search or training they actually performed.
TrueSAR can bring supported Garmin K9 tracking into the mission map and CalTopo view. Use map integration where your setup supports that connection and keeps handlers, dogs, and assignments aligned.

K9 Training & Deployments is available today. Create Training Sessions and discipline-specific training entries, link them to your K9 assets, and maintain Deployment Reports, Qualifications, Continuing Education and supporting documents.
Calendar & Records, Statistics, templates and report generation help you review progress and prepare reports. My Records supports personal access; Agency Records supports team oversight according to the user's role.
Track your own training and deployment history with TrueSAR Individual, including multiple K9s or assets as appropriate. Teams can manage Training & Reporting together, or choose Operations for the full mission platform.
